Each of the 39 selected educational centers will receive a specialized LEGO Spike robotics package. These comprehensive packages include three tablets, two boxes of LEGO bricks, a ring light, and a professional microphone set. These tools will not only be used in dedicated robotics classes but will also be integrated into broader workshops designed to foster critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among the youth.
The University of Costa Rica will play a pivotal role in ensuring the program’s sustainability and pedagogical quality. Between September and November, academic staff from the university will train public school teachers across its various campuses. This training will focus on upgrading technical skills, introducing modern STEAM teaching methodologies, and helping educators seamlessly integrate robotics into their daily lesson plans.
