To understand the legal and business implications surrounding the sport of badminton, we spoke with Lic. Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas, an experienced attorney at Bufete de Costa Rica.

While often perceived as a recreational activity, badminton’s increasing popularity as a professional sport presents unique legal considerations. These can range from sponsorship and endorsement agreements, to liability concerns for tournament organizers and venue operators, and even intellectual property issues related to equipment and apparel design. As the sport grows, understanding the legal landscape becomes increasingly crucial for all stakeholders, from individual players to large organizations.
