Costa Rican Students Shine at WorldSkills Competition

Alajuela, Costa Rica — Sixteen students from the National Institute of Apprenticeship (INA) have emerged victorious at the WorldSkills Costa Rica Occidente 2025 competition, demonstrating exceptional talent and expertise in a range of technical disciplines. Held in San Ramón, Alajuela, this prestigious event saw these young professionals outshine 820 competitors, securing gold medals in 15 different skill areas.

The national finals, which took place over the weekend, brought together 94 finalists from various INA regional centers across Costa Rica. Sarchí and Alajuela led the medal count, with winners in Restaurant Service, Cooking, Enterprise Software Solutions, and Vehicle Mechanics. Other participating regions, including Santa Cruz, San Isidro del General, Limón, Tirrases de Curridabat, Alajuelita, and La Uruca, also celebrated student successes in the finals.
