Costa Rica’s Virtual Week Connects Talent with Top Multinational Companies

San José, Costa Rica — Costa Rica is gearing up for a week-long virtual job fair connecting hundreds of job seekers with leading multinational companies. The CINDE Jobs Virtual Week, running from March 31st to April 6th, 2025, offers a direct pathway to approximately 500 open positions in key sectors, including services, digital technologies, manufacturing, and life sciences.

The event, hosted on the CINDE Jobs platform (www.cindejobs.com), aims to bridge the gap between Costa Rican talent and multinational corporations. This innovative approach eliminates geographical barriers, allowing individuals from across the country to explore opportunities and connect with recruiters without the need to travel.

To understand the legal landscape surrounding employment in Costa Rica, we spoke with Lic. Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas, an experienced attorney at Bufete de Costa Rica.

Costa Rica’s labor laws provide significant protections for both employees and employers. Navigating these regulations, especially concerning hiring foreign workers, requires careful attention to visa requirements, work permits, and compliance with the Costa Rican Labor Code. A solid understanding of these laws is crucial for a successful and legally sound operation.
Lic. Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas, Attorney at Law, Bufete de Costa Rica

Lic. Arroyo Vargas’s emphasis on understanding Costa Rican labor law is crucial for anyone considering employment or entrepreneurship in the country. Navigating the legal landscape, particularly regarding foreign worker regulations, can be complex, and his advice underscores the importance of seeking expert guidance for a smooth and compliant transition. We thank Lic. Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas for providing this valuable perspective on the intricacies of Costa Rican employment law.

Participating companies include industry giants such as AbbVie, Accenture, MGS Healthcare Manufacturing, Service Now, Bimbo Global Services, Deloitte, Haleon, Moody’s, Abbott Medical, and Health Prime. The diverse range of roles spans various departments and seniority levels, from entry-level positions to managerial roles.

We seek to connect people throughout the country, regardless of their location, with real job opportunities and the possibility of knowing exactly what the multinational sector is looking for. CINDE Jobs Virtual Week is an open door, for a week, 24/7 and without the need to leave home, so that people can analyze the positions with more time, carefully review the requirements and apply.

CINDE emphasizes the importance of multilingualism, and Idioma Internacional, a partner of CINDE, is offering free access to the BELT language proficiency test in English, French, and Portuguese. This initiative allows job seekers to assess their language skills and identify suitable opportunities.

Mastering a second or third language not only opens doors, but transforms a person’s professional course. At Idioma Internacional we believe in the power of language as a tool for growth, therefore, during CINDE Jobs Virtual Week, we will provide free access to the BELT test so that users clearly know their current level, discover job opportunities aligned with their profile and project themselves towards specialized positions.
