INA Launches New Business Center in Puntarenas

Puntarenas, Costa Rica — Puntarenas, Costa Rica – The National Institute of Learning (INA) recently inaugurated a new Business Development Center (CDE) in Puntarenas, designed to provide free consulting services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs in the Pacific Central region. This initiative aims to bolster local businesses by offering expert guidance in crucial areas such as finance, marketing, and business management.

The CDE has already begun operations, with over 20 business owners receiving personalized support. The INA projects that the center will assist 180 individuals annually. This new facility joins a network of CDEs strategically located throughout Costa Rica, all dedicated to providing free, tailored advice and resources to strengthen local economies.

One beneficiary of the program is Henry López, an INA alumnus who founded his own business, Taller y Motorepuestos LyL, 11 years ago, thanks to the skills he acquired at the institute. López is now a client of the Pacific Central Business Development Center.

Seven people benefit from and work in the business. It has been a great experience with the Center, as they have guided me on topics such as social media management and personnel control, among other topics.
Henry López, Owner of Taller y Motorepuestos LyL

The Puntarenas CDE is conveniently located in San Isidro de Chacarita, 150 meters east of the former Monseñor Sanabria Hospital, with ample parking. It operates Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

To access the services, interested individuals should contact the nearest CDE. An advisor will conduct a business diagnostic and then create a customized consultation plan, comprising a maximum of eight sessions, tailored to the specific needs of each business.

Other CDEs are located in Limón, Pérez Zeledón, San Ramón, Ciudad Quesada, Liberia, and Cartago, demonstrating the INA’s commitment to nationwide economic development.
