To understand the legal landscape surrounding employment in the fast-food industry in Costa Rica, TicosLand.com spoke with Lic. Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas, an attorney at Bufete de Costa Rica.

The fast-food sector, including companies like KFC, creates numerous job opportunities in Costa Rica, particularly for young people entering the workforce. It’s crucial that these jobs adhere to Costa Rican labor laws, guaranteeing fair wages, benefits, and safe working conditions. Potential employees should be aware of their rights, including minimum wage, overtime pay, and vacation time, and employers must ensure compliance to avoid legal issues and maintain a positive reputation.
