By San José, Costa Rica — Porsche Costa Rica has joined forces with Fundación Epicentro and Formula 1 to launch STEM Racing, an exciting program designed to spark interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among Costa Rican students. Leveraging the thrill of motorsport, the initiative targets students aged 11 to 19 from technical, private, and scientific high schools across the country.
This international competition challenges teams of three to six students to design and build a miniature F1 car using CAD/CAM technology. The program, which kicked off in January 2025, will unfold in stages, culminating in October with the announcement of the winning team. The grand prize includes a scholarship to Texas Tech University and the incredible opportunity to attend a Formula 1 race.
