The event specifically targets residents of the eight cantons that comprise the Central Pacific region: Puntarenas, Esparza, Garabito, Montes de Oro, Orotina, Parrita, Quepos, and San Mateo. By decentralizing professional opportunities away from the Grand Metropolitan Area (GAM), PROCOMER seeks to ignite sustainable economic growth in coastal and rural territories that often face higher unemployment rates.

Each stop is carefully tailored to align with the specific industrial profiles and agricultural, manufacturing, or service-oriented needs of the respective host territory.
Highlighting a strong focus on social equity, the tour also features an ongoing initiative to empower local women. Ten candidates from each region will be preselected annually—aiming for 50 women per year between 2026 and 2028—to receive financial support for technical, university, or specialized language training in high-demand fields. This program is made possible through a collaboration between PROCOMER, Fundación CARICACO, and the National Commission for Educational Loans (CONAPE), featuring a partial debt forgiveness clause upon successful completion of studies.
