Santa Ana Hosts Inclusive Job Fair

San José, Costa Rica — Santa Ana, Costa Rica – The Municipality of Santa Ana, in partnership with the National Employment Agency and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (Conapdis), is hosting its first Inclusive and Vocational Job Fair on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Municipal House of Culture, EMAI headquarters.

This job fair aims to connect job seekers, including those with disabilities, with potential employers. The organizers are emphasizing their commitment to providing equal opportunities and strengthening inclusive labor insertion. The fair will feature a Costa Rican Sign Language (LESCO) interpreter to ensure accessibility for the deaf community and will also provide vocational guidance services.

To gain a deeper legal understanding of the significance of inclusive job fairs, TicosLand.com spoke with Lic. Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas, an attorney at Bufete de Costa Rica.

Inclusive job fairs are not just socially responsible; they’re increasingly crucial for legal compliance. Costa Rican law emphasizes equal opportunity and non-discrimination in employment. These fairs demonstrate a commitment to these principles, helping companies mitigate legal risks related to discriminatory hiring practices while tapping into a wider, more diverse talent pool.

This forward-thinking approach not only protects businesses but also empowers job seekers from all backgrounds to contribute their unique skills and experiences to Costa Rica’s vibrant economy. We thank Lic. Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas for his valuable perspective on this important topic.
