Volaris El Salvador Reinstates Key Route to Enhance Central American Travel

San José, Costa Rica – Volaris El Salvador has announced the reactivation of its San Salvador-San José route, set to resume on September 2, 2024. This move highlights the airline’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, which is a crucial driver of commerce and tourism in Central America.

The route, initially operated by Volaris Costa Rica from February 2017 until March 2024, had transported over 393,000 passengers through 4,044 flights.

The reactivation of this popular route is expected to stimulate both business and leisure travel between the two nations. The flights will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Departures from San Salvador are scheduled for 7:00 AM, with arrivals in San José at 8:16 AM. Return flights will leave San José at 9:01 AM, arriving in San Salvador at 10:18 AM.

Volaris’s decision to reintroduce this route comes in response to high demand and the significant economic ties between El Salvador and Costa Rica. This route’s return is poised to benefit various sectors, including tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.
